The following call Features are available as standard with Eclipse Line Rental and can be used at anytime through your telephone handset without contacting us to set up. Some of the Pay Per Use features are also available with a monthly subscription for unlimited usage with Eclipse Line Rental.

Anonymous Caller Reject

Anonymous Caller Reject will reject all calls using the withholding feature, this will include many callers who for a number of reasons do not want to, or cannot divulge the number they are calling from. For example, many Public Services such as Hospitals, DSS, Fire Brigades, Doctors, Police Forces and Public Utilities usually withhold their CLI.

Call Diversion

Divert calls to another number in the UK, most overseas destinations or a mobile phone. You can choose the following:-
  • Divert all calls
  • Divert Calls when no answer
  • Divert Calls when engaged

Customer will pay for the diverted leg of the call as per the current call charges.

Call Waiting

A Beep will alert you if another call comes in while you are on the phone. You can then choose to end your original call and take the new call, swap between both calls or continue with your current call. Callers to the busy line will hear a message that the person they are calling knows they are waiting.

If you choose to ignore the new call and continue with the first call the second caller will be asked to ring back later

If you have subscribed to Call waiting you can turn this feature on and off through your telephone handset.

Caller Display

If you have a telephone with a digital display you can use this feature to display a caller’s telephone number. If you have programmed a persons name in to your handset it will display the caller’s name. If the caller has withheld their number

Calls made from outside the UK, payphones charge cards and some rural areas and some non BT networks cannot be identified and no number will be displayed.

Identify Last Caller 1471

Use this feature to find out who called you last and the date and time of that call. If the caller withheld their number it will tell you the date and time of the call only

Identify last caller is a free service which come standard on your Eclipse Line Rental. A 12pm charge will be applied if you want to return the call by pressing 3 regardless of whether the call is answered or not. If the call is connected you will be charged for it at your standard Talkmore rates.

Call Barring

There is a £2.50 Monthly subscription fee for this feature

Outgoing Call Barring for Premium Rate Services & International Calls, and Outgoing Call Barring for Premium Rate Services Only

Applying OCB for Premium Rate Services will only block outgoing calls to:
    09 numbers: 0900, 0901, 0902, 0903, 0904, 0905, 0906, 0907, 0908 and 0909.
    NOTE: Emergency services calls to 999 and 112 and all other calls are still permitted.

Applying OCB for Premium Rate Services and International calls will block outgoing calls to:

    All 00 and 09 numbers: 0900, 0901, 0902, 0903, 0904, 0905, 0906, 0907, 0908 and 0909.
    NOTE: Emergency services calls to 999 and 112, calls to 00800 (the Universal International Freephone) and all other calls are still permitted.

Reminder Call

Use this Feature to set up a single reminder call or in some areas a series of regular reminder calls. Your phone will ring at the time it is programmed to.

There is a £2.50 Monthly subscription fee for this feature for unlimited use. Alternatively you can set reminder calls on a pay per use basis costing 35p per call.

Ring Back

If somebody you are trying to call is engaged you can use the ring back facility to alert you when the caller becomes free

You will hear an announcement confirming or rejecting the Ring Back request. A special ring tone on your handset will alert you when the person you are trying to call is free. When you pick up your handset the phone will ring. The other person’s phone will be monitored for 45 minutes after your first cal attempt to check when they are free. Up to five Ring Back requests can be active at any one time.

There is a £2.50 Monthly subscription fee for this feature for unlimited use. Alternatively you can set Ring Back on a pay per use basis costing 35p per call.

Once the call is connected you will be charged at your normal Talkmore rates. Pay Per Use charge applies after Ring back is confirmed even if the call is unanswered.

Ring Back is not available on calls to ISDN Lines, Mobiles, International destinations and some mult-line switchboards.

Three Way Calling

This Feature enables you to set up a three way conference call. You can selectively include or exclude either party at any time during the call. Handset must have a recall button, which is usually displayed as “R”

There is a £2.50 Monthly subscription fee for this feature for unlimited use. Alternatively you can set Three Way Calling on a pay per use basis costing 65p per call.

When the person you are calling answers press R
Wait for the dial tone then dial second phone number

Voicemail 1571

Voicemail 1571 is a basic voicemail service which includes the ability to store up to ten messages. When you have a message you will hear an intermittent dial tone.

Voice Mail Plus - Remote access for voice mail

There is a £3.00 Monthly Subscription Fee for this feature

Description
Voice Mail Plus is network-based messaging service. This exchange based service answers calls and records messages on no reply or if engaged. You can record your own greeting message and up to 30 messages can be stored – the maximum message length is 5 minutes.

If a message has been recorded while the line is engaged, Call Minder will call the your number at 10 minute intervals up to 60 minutes and invite the End User to listen to the message.

Interrupted dial tone will alert you to a waiting message. After listening, the message can be heard again, saved or deleted.

Voice Mail Plus can be accessed remotely to retrieve messages, to change service options such as the number of rings before answer, personal greetings and PIN. (For security, a PIN can only be changed from the home line). You dial your telephone number (normal call charges apply) then enter a PIN during the greeting message. Having used the security PIN you then have access to the mailbox menus as if you were calling 1571 directly from your home telephone.

Instructions for use
Accessing from your phone


After dialling 1571 the End User will be advised that they have x new messages and y saved messages.
In the main menu the End User will be able to press 1 to listen to messages, press 2 for personnel options or press 4 for missed calls.
After reviewing any messages the End User will be able to press 0 to return the call, press 1 to listen again, press 2 to save or skip or 3 to delete a message.
After the return call is completed the End User will be returned to the post message review options.
After pressing 0 to select Call Return, the End User may press # at any time to terminate the returned call and be returned to the Message Review menu (or missed call menu, as appropriate) in the same way as for the called party clearing the call.

Accessing from another phone

Dial your own phone number. On hearing the Call Minder greeting press * and when prompted enter your PIN number.

Call Sign

There is a £2.50 Monthly Subscription Fee for this feature

Call Sign allows you to distinguish between incoming calls on the same line. You are provided with an Alternate Number (AN) to Your existing Telephone Number. When the AN is dialled, the telephone connected to the line will ring with a different cadence to the normal ring tone. You can thus determine whom the call is for, or who the caller is, prior to answering it.

Withhold Number

You can choose to withhold your number on a per call basis or a permanent basis

There is no charge for this service.

The per use option is automatically on the line as standard. For permanent Withhold number this will need to be permanently set up by Eclipse.
