We have been advised that this maintenance work should not be service affecting, however as with any work of this nature there is always an element of risk. The work is being carried at this time as it is the quietest time on our network.

Description: Engineers need to carry an essential upgrade on the Bonded DSL platform. The work involves a software upgrade which includes bug fixes and requirements to support new hardware . The maintenance will take place between 2230 on Wednesday 29 May until 0030 on Thursday 30 May. This work will cause an outage to the service provided to customers.

Description: We are aware of a recent problem some customers have been experiencing and have identified that this is being caused by a flaw in particular brands of routers.

The flaw in both Edimax and TP-link routers are affecting the ability for customers to use the internet intermittently.

If you are experiencing difficulties using the internet and believe that you may have an affected router, we would recommend that you take one of the following actions;

• Contact the manufacturer of your router.

• Arrange with an IT professional for your router to be repaired.

• Purchase a new router either from our website or via a local retailer.

This isn’t a problem with the Eclipse network and if you haven’t experienced an issue, we would recommend that you monitor your service and speak to your manufacturer to ensure it is secure and to prevent any issues occurring.

Our engineers have identified that the cause of this issue is down to an exploit in the TP-Link and EDI Max routers.

We would advise that you either contact the router manufacturer or test with an alternate router.
