Our flagship data centre is based at London’s Docklands. These facilities are some of the best in Europe and are housed in one of the UK’s most secure hosting centres – a Tier 3 London data centre. This gives unrivalled physical security and monitoring and includes our in built disaster recovery system which sees offsite server backups to disc included as standard. The resilience and reliability of the Global Switch data centre conforms to enterprise standards, providing uninterrupted power and optimised cooling creating a best in class service.
Ultimate security
The data suite security includes round the clock CCTV recording, delivered over IP to NOC monitors, individual rack keys, full network monitoring, anti-virus installed as standard, generator backup and fire suppression measures. Eclipse’s Datacentres provide redundant power via dual diverse 4MVA (MegaVolt Amps) feeds from the local electricity board. This is ultimately enough to power 400 average homes. Load sharing over the two feeds ensures 4MVA is the total load - therefore if one fails, there will still be 4MVA available.

We’re so confident in our state of the art facilities, that we offer 100% SLA. If you don’t experience a totally reliable and available service, we’ll pay for it – crediting your account. In the unlikely event that a server goes down yours will automatically be rebooted onto another server, so you shouldn’t notice more than a few minutes’ interruption to services. Despite this, behind the scenes we are guaranteeing a four hour fix on the failed hardware. Our Linux and Microsoft certified professionals will look after your managed server for you, saving you valuable time and money. We’ll take care of patching, configuring your firewalls and software updates, making this a truly managed system.
