Truly Unlimited Broadband
Did you know that most unlimited* packages aren’t truly unlimited at all?
Other providers hide a multitude of sins in the asterisked small print - and find many ways to limit your use. Here are the three main ways you can fall into the unlimited* trap
It says unlimited* but there IS a limit - which is going to cost you
Most unlimited* packages are subject to a fair usage policy, but it’s not always clear what “fair usage” is. If you’re with a provider who charges for exceeding the usage, you’re at risk of a big bill and a nasty surprise.
It says unlimited* but there IS a limit - and it’ll slow you right down
That fair usage policy is still in place, but this time there’s no charge - just a big slow down for exceeding it. Your provider is able to slow your connection down to such an extent, it physically restricts you from using much more.
Remember, Truly Unlimited broadband from Eclipse means we never restrict your line speed.
It says unlimited* and in theory it IS - if you can get anything done
Did you realise that your slow connection isn’t always down to internet traffic? Yes, the internet can often be slow during peak times, but that’s usually because your provider has decided to limit your access. Look for that small print again - you might be shocked to see your speed is limited through most of the useful day (typically between 7am and 11pm)
We don't think this is particularly helpful if you are busy trying to get on with the important things in life.
