How long does a new order take?

Once you’ve placed your order for business broadband it will typically take only 6 days to activate your service.

What service do we offer?

All our customers have access to our award winning support team from 8am until 8pm on weekdays and from 9am until 5pm on Saturdays. At other times it’s simple to raise a support request online and we’ll resolve the issue as soon as we’re able.  

I’m already with another provider, how do I switch to Eclipse?

If you’d like to switch to Eclipse from another provider it’s simple and what’s more it’s free! Simply call your current provider and ask for you Migration Authority Code (MAC). You’ll also need to tell them that you would not like your connection to be ceased until the migration is complete to benefit from our free transfer service. Finally order your Eclipse package either online or over the phone (providing your MAC) and we’ll take care of the rest.

What is the minimum contract length?

All of our business broadband packages can be purchased with either a 12 or one month contract length. So if you need a short term solution or if you’d like to trial our service before committing to a longer contract, it’s no problem.
 

Can I re-grade to a different package once I’ve entered a contract?

Absolutely, should you decide you need a higher or lower usage allowance at any time during your contract we can re-grade you to a more suitable package. Note that after re-grading you will have to wait 30 days before re-grading for a second time.

What is a broadband usage allowance?

Just like your mobile phone package comes with an inclusive amount of minutes you can use for calls each month, your Eclipse broadband package comes with an inclusive amount of data you can download per month. By browsing the internet, downloading files, viewing images online, attaching files to email or streaming video, you are constantly downloading data via your internet connection. The more heavily you use the internet, the more data you will need to download.

What happens if I go over my usage?

If you do require more usage, you can add extra unlimited 1GB bolt-ons to your Eclipse broadband at any time for just £1.06 (ex VAT). Simply log into your My Eclipse account to add extra-usage bundles to your monthly broadband package.

How we manage your account - and what we do if you accidentally exceed your planned usage, however, is up to you. We offer two clear choices, which you choose between on sign up.

You can either:
* have us automatically add on usage which we charge at the standard rate per Gb, as and when you use it
* or, keep your costs under control by asking us to cap your speed for the rest of the monthly billing period. This option will still allow you to perform basic business tasks like checking email or surfing the web - you simply won't get the usual top speeds until your usage is reset next month.

Can I keep track of my usage throughout the month?

You can check your usage in your My Eclipse account; simply log in and go to the Connection Manager to check your actual usage against your package allowance in real time.

Do I need a BT landline to get your broadband?

Eclipse broadband works over any normal landline it doesn't matter if you pay your line rental to BT or to another company; we can still provide you with Eclipse broadband (this does not include Fibre Optic cable networks).

What do I need to order Eclipse TalkMore?

All you need is an active BT compatible phone line and a broadband connection with Eclipse. TalkMore is free for 1000 minutes a month on a business broadband connection, find out more about our call rates here.

Do I still keep my existing BT number?

Yes, you can keep the phone number you already have, so you won't have to tell everyone your new contact details.
