Our History
In the beginning
We started out way back in 1995, providing internet services as a South West ISP with start-up costs of just £20,000. In 2004 we joined KCOM PLC and now run as an independent subsidiary from our offices in Exeter, Devon.

1995
- Established by entrepreneur Mark Lang as a South West ISP with start up costs of just £20,000
- We went on to launch a national broadband service
2002
- We became the first ISP to launch online ordering for Symmetric Digital Subscriber Line (SDSL)
2003
- Our dedication for quality and service was rewarded by winning the 'Best Business Broadband Provider' at the Internet Service Providers' Association Awards (ISPA)
2004
- We became part of the KCOM Group.
- We achieved two industry firsts - the launch of boostable broadband speeds with FLEX and the provision of a public Wi-Fi service
2005
- We celebrated our 10th anniversary by winning the ISPA 'Best Heavy Business Broadband’ award
- We launched our Customer Referral Scheme, where customers get generous rewards for telling their friends about us
2007
- We got off to a great start by winning the ISPA 'Best Consumer Broadband Award'
- We introduced a greater choice of internet services to our customers, including backup, web hosting and eCommerce
- We launched several initiatives to reduce our carbon footbrint and became a carbon neutral company
- We became the first ISP to offer customer the ability to control their internet traffic and prioritise certain types of it, such as gaming and social media.
2008
- We won the ISPA’s Best Business ISP and Best Business Email awards
2009
- Our Technical Support Analyst, Nick Shepperd, won the ISPA Customer Hero award
- We restructured our Technical Support Teams to provide our business customers with a dedicated team of advisors to handle all business faults
- We started to upgrade our existing broadband platform to fully support BT's related 21st Century Network (CN) infrastructure
- We announced our involvement with BT's next generation Fibre to the Cabinet ( FTTC ) 'up to' 40Mbps download (5Mbps upload) broadband technology trials
2010
- We celebrate our 15th anniversary!
